Yatec discovered gas field in Yakutia with reserves of 35 bcm in 2022

MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax) - Yakutsk Fuel and Energy Company (Yatec) discovered a gas field with reserves of about 35 billion cubic meters in Yakutia in 2022, Russia's Natural Resources Ministry told Interfax.

The company named the field after honoured Sakha (Yakutia) oil and gas industry worker Evaldt Tuga. The field's C1 and C2 category reserves of 12.1 bcm and 22.4 bcm, respectively, have been entered into the national register.

It was reported at the end of December that Yatec increased its reserves to 643 bcm in 2022.

Yatec holds the licenses to the Maisky, Severny, Tymtaidakhsky and Yuzhny blocks, and the Tolonskoye, Srednevilyuiskoye, Mastakhskoye and Khailakhskoye fields in Yakutia, as well as the Maisky block and Buratinskoye gas field in Kalmykia.

Company data as of January 13 showed that Yatec's largest shareholder is Albert Avdolyan with 48.83%, and his partner in a number of projects, Sergei Adonyev owns 24.33%; 25% of Yatec is owned by TrustUnion Asset Management LLC, which according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities is 67% owned by Vadim Sachkov and 33% by Nadir Usmanov. Yatec's free float is 1.84%.
