Three bulkers to deliver Ukrainian food exports to China and Spain

NEW YORK, UN. Jan 17 (Interfax) - Three vessels carrying corn, wheat and sunflower meal departed Ukrainian ports on Monday under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.

"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that three vessels left Ukrainian ports today [on January 16] carrying a total of 201,825 metric tonnes of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," it said.

Two of them - the King Lan (56,148 tonnes of corn and 8,077 tonnes sunflower meal) and the Reachy Summer (71,500 tonnes of corn) - are both bound for China. The Erica vessel is carrying 21,264 tonnes of wheat and 44,836 tonnes of corn to Spain.

Meanwhile, another vessel transited the maritime humanitarian corridor on Monday on its way to Ukraine's Yuzhny port.

"As of 16 January, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 17,638,311 metric tonnes. A total of 1,301 voyages (646 inbound and 655 outbound) have been enabled so far," the JCC said.
