Kazakhstan intends to create attractive conditions for investors in renewable energy - Tokayev

ALMATY. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan intends to create attractive conditions for investors in the renewable energy sector, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

Tokayev spoke on Monday at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit and informed the forum participants about the prospects for the development of renewable and alternative energy in Kazakhstan, according to the presidential press office.

Tokayev said that 6.5 GW of renewable energy resources are expected to be put into service in Kazakhstan by 2035.

Another promising area is green hydrogen, international experts believe that Kazakhstan can join the top ten hydrogen exporters, he said.

The president recalled that Kazakhstan had undertaken long-term commitments to achieve carbon neutrality.
