Application to register Vkusno & Tochka trademark under review in Kazakhstan - justice ministry

ASTANA. Jan 16 (Interfax) - An application from Russia's Sistema PBO LLC [formerly McDonald's LLC, Russia] to register the Vkusno & Tochka trademark in Kazakhstan is being reviewed by an expert panel, Kazakhstan's Department of Intellectual Property Rights of the Justice Ministry told Interfax.

"The expert panel is considering the applications for registering the trademarks containing the wordmarks 'Vkusno & Tochka', filed on behalf of Sistema PBO LLC," the department told Interfax.

According to the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE), the owner of Sistema PBO LLC, Moscow, is Club Hotel LLC, Sosnovka, Kemerovo Region, which in turn belongs to Alexander Govor, who owns the Vkusno & Tochka fast food chain that replaced McDonald's in Russia.
