Over 561,000 people officially registered as unemployed in Russia - Deputy PM Golikova's office

MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - The situation on the labor market in Russia remains stable, with about 561,100 people officially registered as unemployed at the moment, the office of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said.

"The situation on the labor market remains stable [...] The number of the unemployed registered at the moment stands at 561,100 people, which is 121,700 people fewer than in early March [2022]," the office said, following a meeting of an interagency working group monitoring the labor market.

A December 30, 2022 report said about 552,800 people were officially registered as unemployed in Russia at the time.

The unemployment rate in Russia measured in line with the International Labor Organization methodology in November 2022 stood at 3.7%. The lowest unemployment level was recorded in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district and the highest in Ingushetia.
