Albania to open its embassy in Kiev

MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - Albania intends to open its embassy in Kiev, Albanian Foreign Minister Olta Xhacka said in remarks on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

"Albania and Ukraine both belong to the family of free and democratic nations and both have a future in the Euro-Atlantic family. On the occasion of this 30th anniversary, I am happy to announce that Albania will upgrade its diplomatic presence in Kiev, opening its embassy in Ukraine," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Xhacka as saying in a social media post.

The Albanian minister said that she looks forward to working closely with the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to further advance and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
