Aviapark mall to initiate bankruptcy of mobile retailer Svayznoy

MOSCOW. Jan 12 (Interfax) - The Aviapark Trade and Exhibition Complex intends to file a claim with the Arbitration Court of Moscow to declare Svyaznoy Chain LLC bankrupt, according to a statement published on Fedresurs.

In early October 2022, Sovcombank, to which the retailer owes 2.5 billion rubles, also announced the intention of filing a bankruptcy claim against Svayznoy.

Earlier, Sovcombank filed a suit against Svyaznoy for the stated amount in connection with overdue liabilities. Furthermore, the retailer was sued by Alfa Bank for 6 billion rubles for the same reason. The court stopped proceedings on those cases in November and December.

Another big lawsuit against Svyaznoy, one for 839 million rubles, was brought by the cellular operator Vimpelcom, demanding collection of advance payments from the retailer. In early December, the court rule in favor of Vimpelcom.
