Ozon opens office and distribution center in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK. Jan 12 (Interfax) - Russian marketplace Ozon has opened a distribution center and office in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek, the company's press service in the country said.

"To attract sellers from the region, Ozon also opened an office in Bishkek. This will help expand the range of textile products and home goods on the site. As part of international business development, Ozon has launched a distribution center in Bishkek. It allows for receipt and processing of orders, their assembly and packing and operations with returns. The opening of a logistics complex in Kyrgyzstan will make it easier for local entrepreneurs to enter the Russian market and allow them to sell more efficiently to Ozon's audience of 32 million customers in Russia," the company said.

To attract sellers from Kyrgyzstan, Ozon also opened a representative office in Bishkek. The company intends to expand inventory in the global storefront in various categories, including popular ones such as "home goods" and "clothes, shoes, accessories." Currently, all delivery schemes to Russia are available to entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan: sales from Ozon's warehouse in Russia, sales from the seller's local warehouse and delivery by Ozon, as well as delivery by third-party logistics services

This is already the third CIS country where the company is localizing its business on the basis of its own logistics infrastructure. Since 2021, Ozon has been developing its business in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Ozon was founded in 1998. The site offers more than 150 million product items in more than 20 categories. Ozon is actively developing as an online platform - partners of the marketplace already account for more than 90% of the site's inventory.
