Russia registers 4,675 new cases of Covid-19, 48 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Jan 12 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 4,675 new cases of Covid-19 and 48 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.

Russia "has recorded 4,675 new cases of Covid-19 and 882 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 2% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 39 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 36, and has remained unchanged in ten.

Daily morbidity has grown by 474 cases from 4,201 recorded on Wednesday.

Forty-eight patients died from Covid-19 over the day, versus 46 the day before.

"Another 4,541 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 11.3% from January 11," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,841,644 cases of Covid-19, including 394,262 deaths and 21,263,274 recoveries.
