Ukrainian govt approves drawing up to 18 bln euros as EU's macro-financial assistance in 2023

MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved the drawing of up to 18 billion euros as micro-financial assistance of the European Union in 2023.

The government made the decision on Tuesday, the Ukrainian media said, quoting Government Representative to the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

For instance, it approved an EU loan to be drawn under the memorandum of mutual understanding between the borrower, Ukraine and the lender, the European Union.

It also approved an agreement between the borrower, Ukraine, the borrower's agent, the National Bank of Ukraine, and the lender, the European Union.

The decisions were made within the framework of a facility to provide Ukraine with up to 18 billion euros as macro-financial assistance in 2023.
