Ukraine to take out Citibank loan of up to 30.8 mln euros under UK guarantees to repair bridges in Kiev region

MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax) - Citibank N.A. (the London branch) will act as the organizer and initial lender of a loan of up to 30.795 million euros to Ukraine, the obligations under which are guaranteed by the UK Export Finance Agency, and the loan funds will be used to cover up to 97% of the price of contracts on an overhaul of bridges in Kiev region.

It will be a 12-year loan with a grace period for a loan deferment for 30 months, at the 6-month EURIBOR interest rate +0.45% per annum and interest payments once every six months, Ukrainian media said, citing the government's December 23, 2022 resolution.

The loan funds may also be used to pay the risk premium to the UK Export Finance Agency charged in compliance with the terms of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, according to the document.

The facilities to be rebuilt as part of this project include a fly-over at km 54+863 of the T-10-19 Fenevichi-Borodyanka-Makarov-Byshev road, bridges over the Trubezh River at km 22-830 of the N-07 Kiev-Sumy-Yunakovka road, a canal at km 29+100 of the R-69 Kiev-Vyshgorod-Desna-Chernigov road, bridges over the Zhereva River at km 18+826 and over the Teterev River at km 37+210 of the T-10-05 Ivankov road, and an overland bridge at km 5+170 of the T-10-07 Obukhovichi-Stavrovka road, it said.
