Ukraine's 2022 security and defense spending at 32.5% of GDP

MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - As many as 1.536 trillion hryvni in Ukrainian budget funds, or 32.5% of GDP, were spent on the country's defense and national security in 2022, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov said.

"Here are a few figures: 1.536 trillion hryvni were allocated for the national security and defense of Ukraine in 2022. It is equivalent to 32.5% of GDP," Ukrainian media outlets said on Monday, citing Danilov's social media post.
