Latin America to be among Ukraine's foreign policy priorities in 2023 - Kuleba

MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will adopt a strategic document titled Latin American Strategy in 2023, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said.

"We've heard a message from Brazil and will be working actively with them, as well as other countries of that region. And in general, Latin America will be among our priorities this year. This is the last region of the world that we haven't yet plowed up thoroughly enough," Ukrainian media quoted Kuleba as saying at an online press briefing on January 4.

A Ukrainian delegation's visit to Brazil, where President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's inauguration ceremony took place on January 1, shows Ukraine's interest in resetting the Ukrainian-Brazilian dialogue and providing an extra incentive to trade-economic relations between the two countries, he said.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is already pursuing the Asian Strategy and the African Strategy, and the Latin American Strategy will be the next strategic document the ministry plans to adopt later this year, he said.
