Ukrainian FM says relations with Hungary will not change as long as Orban remains prime minister
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Nothing will change in Ukraine-Hungary relations as long as Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban remains in office, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
"And [relations] won't change as long as Viktor Orban remains the Hungarian prime minister, because he, let's put it this way, has chosen his path," Ukrainian media quoted Kuleba as saying.
At the same time, Kuleba noted that he had had close relations with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto until February 24, 2022.
"I really tried to reset Ukrainian-Hungarian relations, and he also demonstrated readiness, and we were even moving ahead in certain things. He is the only foreign minister in the European Union to whom I haven't communicated since February 24. I think this fact speaks for itself," Kuleba said.
