Ukraine's energy system experiencing shortage, difficulties in south, east - Ukrenergo
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - A power shortage in Ukraine's united energy system as of 11:00 a.m. on December 30 remained the same as on the previous day, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing the Ukrenergo national power grid operator's social networks.
According to Ukrenergo, the energy system is restoring its normal functioning as planned. The capacity is being increased through generation.
"At the same time, the situation remains difficult in the south and the east as a result of damage of some energy facilities. Repair crews are doing damage control alongside generation and regional energy services," the company said.
All regions were notified about the limits of consumption, the excess of which leads to the need of emergency shutdowns.
