Zadornov's team to leave Otkritie Bank
MOSCOW. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Otkritie Bank, having changed owners this week, has announced changes in its senior management.
Mikhail Zadornov, Dmitry Levin, Nadia Cherkasova, Svetlana Emelyanova, Natalya Smirnova, Viktor Nikolaev, and Irina Kremleva will leave the bank's management board on December 31.
The bank did not say who will remain to work on the board. Otkritie stopped disclosing up-to-date information on the bank's management after it fell under Western sanctions.
The Central Bank of Russia said on Tuesday that it had sold 100% of Otkritie Bank to VTB for 340 billion rubles.
VTB said immediately following the announcement of the deal that Zadornov would leave his post as head of Otkritie on January 1, 2023. Mikhail Alekseyev, formerly head of UniCredit Bank and a former Central Bank deputy governor, will take his place. There will be big changes in the composition of Otkritie's board, VTB said.
VTB's management expects that Otkritie will exist for another year or year and a half, and then its brand will disappear.
