Ukrgasvydobuvannya cuts well drilling 6% in 20222

MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - Ukrgasvydobuvannya, fully owned by Naftogaz of Ukraine, drilled 47 wells in 2022, three less than in 2021, the Ukrainian media reported, citing a Naftogaz statement published on Telegram.

Ukrgasvydobuvannya has thus cut drilling of new wells 6%.

"We are losing rates of production in the east of Ukraine, but are methodically increasing them in the west," Naftogaz said.

"Thanks to the extraordinary commitment of our gas workers, record drilling figures have been achieved. Ukrgasvydobuvannya's drilling subdivision, Ukrburgas, set a record for monthly drilling in October 2022 of 30,505 meters," it said.

Ukrgasvydobuvannya launched 50 new wells in 2021 compared to 41 in 2020, while cutting production of natural gas 3.7% to 13,666 billion cubic meters and of liquid hydrocarbons 3.7% to 614,500 tonnes.
