Japan's NTT Group1 gives $1 mln to Ukraine

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - NTT Group1, a Japanese telecommunications company, has provided $1 million to support the digital education environment in Ukraine, Ukrainian Education and Science Minister Sergei Shkarlet said.

"International partners continue to support Ukraine. NTT Group1, a leading Japanese company in the telecommunications business, has provided $1 million to support the digital education environment," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Shkarlet as saying in a social media post.

The money will be disbursed through the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) and will be used to purchase digital devices for current and future teachers, the minister said.
