Vkusno i Tochka cleared to buy Russian asset of McDonald's logistics partner

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Logistika i Tochka LLC, owned by Alexander Govor, who bought McDonald's business in Russia, has received clearance from the Russian Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) to purchase the Russian assets of HAVI, the regulator said in a statement.

HAVI is a logistics partner of McDonald's that specializes in supply chain management, packaging, logistics and recycling. The company has been operating in Russia since 2003.

Logistika i Tochka, or Logistics and That's It will as a result of the deal receive ownership of the former McDonald's partner in the segment of logistics, packaging, waste processing, planning and supply management, the FAS said.

Included in the deal are HAVI Uzlovaya LLC, RULOG LLC, HAVI Logistics Elabuga LLC and STI LLC.

The FAS said the deal would optimize business processes for more than 700 Vkusno i tochka fast food restaurants and would not restrict competition in any markets.

It was reported in November that Govor planned to buy the Russian business of the fast food chain's logistics partner. The amount of the transaction has not been disclosed.

Govor in early June became the owner of the McDonald's Corp. restaurants in Russia. Following some downtime and the change in ownership, the fast food chain resumed operating under the new name of Vkusno i tochka, or Tasty and That's It. Govor was a franchise partner of McDonald's, having managed 25 restaurants in Siberia since 2015.
