Russians to have 9 straight non-working days during New Year holidays - Labor Ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - The New Year's holidays in Russia would normally continue from January 1 to 8, however, considering that December 31 is a Saturday, this fact increases the holiday period to nine days, the Russian Labor and Social Protection Ministry said.

"The New Year's holidays in January 2023 will last from January 1 to 8. And as December 31 is a Saturday, which is also a non-working day, this will increase the New Year's holidays to nine days," the ministry said on Telegram.
