Ukraine counting on additional support of S. Korea in energy infrastructure repairs

MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said he was hoping for South Korea's supply of equipment for repairing Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

"I have spoken with South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo by phone and thanked him for the continuous support for Ukraine and humanitarian and non-lethal assistance. We have discussed prospective areas of bilateral cooperation. We are hoping for larger support by South Korea through the delivery of equipment for energy infrastructure repairs," the Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on a social network.

The sides also discussed post-conflict restorations and the participation of South Korean companies in this process. Shmygal invited South Korean companies to begin production of electric vehicles in Ukraine.
