Zelensky back to Kiev, having met with Duda on his way home

MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has returned to Kiev from a visit to the United States.

Zelensky published a video from his office on a social network on Friday morning, the Ukrainian media said. "I am in my office," he said.

According to the Ukrainian media, Zelensky met with Polish President Andrzej Duda on his way back from Washington. The two presidents and their delegations had two hours of negotiations, the Polish president's office said.

The office said that Zelensky briefed Duda on details of his visit to the United States.

"In addition, the leaders discussed the status of Polish-Ukrainian relations," it said.

As he returned to Kiev, Zelensky thanked everyone who joined the LightUpUkraine campaign aimed at raising funds worldwide to buy generators for Ukrainian hospitals.

"This support is crucial to us. Thanks everyone who have joined the LightUpUkraine campaign," the Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying on a social network.

During Zelensky's visit to Washington, media outlets said that he might visit London, Paris and Berlin on his way back but that did not happen.
