Five ships to deliver 221,000 tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural products to Africa, Asia, Europe - Infrastructure Ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Another five ships departed the seaports of Greater Odessa on Thursday as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative in order to deliver 221,000 tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural products to countries of Africa, Asia, and Europe, Ukrainian media quoted Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry as saying.

Specifically, the Sea Bridle bulk cargo vessel will deliver 25,000 tonnes of agricultural products to Libya. According to the ministry, 12 vessels carrying 305,000 tonnes of Ukrainian grain have been sent to Libya as part of the Grain Initiative.

The ministry also indicated that 29 vessels in total are being processed and loaded with over one million tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural products at the ports involved in the Grain Initiative. Additionally, two vessels are in transit with 89,000 tonnes of agricultural products.

According to the Infrastructure Ministry, 574 ships have departed the seaports of Greater Odessa since August 1 with 14.6 million tonnes of Ukrainian foodstuffs for Asia, Africa, and Europe.
