Ban on flights to southern Russian airports extended until Jan 2

MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - The Federal Air Transport Agency has extended the ban on flights to the airports of central and southern Russian yet again, this time until January 2, 2023, the agency's press service said on Friday.

The airports of Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista stay closed.

The agency imposed the restrictions on February 24, the day the special military operation in Ukraine began.
