More than 20 foreign cos move offices to Kazakhstan - dep minister

NUR-SULTAN. Dec 22 (Interfax) - A total of 21 foreign companies have so far relocated to Kazakhstan, Deputy Foreign Minister Almas Aidarov said.

He said that since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, 362 foreign companies that were leaving the Russian market had been invited to relocate their production facilities and offices to Kazakhstan.

"We've been negotiating with 362 companies since March, today 62 companies have agreed to consider Kazakhstan as an alternative location, and 21 companies have already relocate to Kazakhstan," Aidarov said at a press conference on Thursday.

"Honeywell opened a production line for control panels in Almaty. TikTok previously did not have a representative office in Kazakhstan, but has opened an office in Kazakhstan. InDrive is moving its entire regional office in Eurasia to Kazakhstan," he said.

Companies continue to relocate to Kazakhstan, this list is constantly being updated.

Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said earlier that 19 companies had already relocated to Kazakhstan.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in July asked for favorable conditions to be put in place for companies that had left the Russian market to relocate to Kazakhstan.
