Russian cos interested in building, overhauling energy facilities in Thailand - Energy Ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax) - Russian companies are interested in projects to build new energy facilities and upgrade generation in Thailand, as well as involvement in hydropower projects, the Russian Energy Ministry said following a meeting between Russian Deputy Energy Minister Sergei Mochalnikov and Thai Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Sasiwat Wongsinsawat.

There are plans to hold a meeting of the Russian-Thai working group in the sphere of energy in the first quarter of 2023, Mochalnikov said.

The parties also discussed cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of oil, gas, and electricity, the Energy Ministry said.
