Ukraine sends 44,000 tonnes of wheat to Kenya

MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax) - The Greater Odessa ports dispatched 129,000 tonnes of agricultural products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative on Tuesday, the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry said.

"A convoy of four ships departed from the Greater Odessa ports today to bring 129,000 tonnes of agricultural products to countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. In particular, the Ince Atlantic bulker is carrying 44,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat to Kenya," the Ukrainian media quoted the ministry as saying.

Twenty-seven ships are being processed in the grain initiative ports, they are being loaded with 1 million tonnes of Ukrainian foods, the ministry said.

Two ships are transiting the maritime humanitarian corridor to take aboard 63,000 tonnes of agricultural products.

A total of 569 ships have departed from the Greater Odessa ports since August 1 to export 14.3 million tonnes of Ukrainian food to countries in Asia, Europe and Africa.
