Ukraine to receive 10,000 Starlink terminals in coming months

MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax) - Starlink and its owner Elon Musk will continue to support Ukraine, and about 10,000 Starlink satellite communication terminals will be additionally supplied to Ukraine in the coming months, the Ukrainian media has quoted Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Digital Transformation Minister Mikhail Fedorov as saying in an interview with Western media outlets on Tuesday.

"Elon Musk has assured us he will continue to support Ukraine. I sent him a message the day we had a blackout, and he instantly responded and has taken certain steps. He understands the situation," Fedorov said.

All financial issues have been resolved, as the governments of several EU member states are ready to share the payments, he said.

Ukraine has received about 22,000 Starlink antennas since the beginning of the crisis, Fedorov said.

"As for the Internet, we have lots of Starlink, but it's a key factor that another shipment has been approved for use to stabilize connection in critical situations," he said.
