MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax) - About 1,000 power transformers of various capacities, about 5,000 gasoline and diesel generators, and over 100 autotransformers have been provided for the recovery of Ukraine's energy system, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said.

"The assistance includes about 1,000 transformers of various capacities, more than 100 autotransformers, about 5,000 gasoline and diesel generators with up to 100KW capacity, almost 500 heavy duty generators, nearly 5,000 kilometers of cable, thousands of spares for power grid repairs, and hundreds of heat guns and heaters," the Ukrainian media quoted Kuleba as saying at a virtual press briefing.

The ministry is continuing to work with partners on further provision of the assistance, and the prime minister is coordinating the process, Kuleba said.

In turn, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that London had sent over 900 generators and about 15,000 sets of extreme cold weather kits to Ukraine, while another 10,000 kits would be delivered by Christmas.

"The UK has donated over 900 generators to Ukraine and has sent approximately 15,000 sets of extreme cold weather kits to the Ukrainian Armed Forces including cold weather clothing, heavy duty sleeping bags and insulated tents. We anticipate a further 10,000 cold weather kits will be delivered by Christmas. Across the international community, around 1.23 million winter kit items have been donated," the Ukrainian media quoted Wallace as saying in a statement released by the British government's press service.
