Ukraine has imported over 510,000 generators in 2022 - parliamentarian

MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - Ukraine has imported around 510,300 power generators since the start of 2022, Ukrainian media quoted parliamentarian Yaroslav Zheleznyak of the Voice parliamentary faction as saying on his social account on Monday.

As many as 235,900 generators imported to Ukraine, including 217,300 (92%) by companies and 18,600 (8%) by individuals, have been eligible for zero VAT and import duty, he said.

As reported earlier, the Ukrainian government's directive dated November 9 set zero VAT and import duties on power equipment brought into the country to help the country pass through the winter.

The list of equipment eligible for zero VAT and import duties includes power generators, transformers, electric batteries, circuit switching or protecting devices, devices for connecting to or in circuits with voltage of over 1,000 V, switchboards, and water filtration and purification equipment and devices.
