Aeroflot launches direct flights from St. Petersburg to Tashkent and Antalya

ST. PETERSBURG. Dec 19 (Interfax) - Aeroflot has launched regular direct flights from St. Petersburg to Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Antalya, Turkey, the press service of Air Gateway of the Northern Capital LLC (VVSS), the operator of St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport, said in a statement.

"Flights from St. Petersburg to the capital of Uzbekistan and to the popular resort of Turkey operate three times per week on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, and both routes operate Boeing-737-800 aircraft," according to the statement.

It was previously reported that Aeroflot had launched regular direct flights in December from Pulkovo to Istanbul and Samarkand.

Pulkovo is one of Russia's five largest airports, and its base carrier is Rossiya Airlines.
