Covid-19 incidence rate up 5.5% w-o-w in Russia - HQ
MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - The Covid-19 incidence rate has gone up 5.5% in Russia over the week, and 39 constituent territories have been reporting a rise in morbidity, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.
"The Covid-19 incidence rate stood at 34.7 cases per 100,000 residents over the past week. Morbidity levels have grown in 39 Russian constituent territories, including higher than average in 15," the headquarters said.
The rate of hospitalizations grew 1.7% week-on-week to 5.9 cases per 100,000 residents. The number of hospitalizations increased in 33 Russian constituent territories, including higher than average in 13.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,722,415 cases of Covid-19, including 393,050 deaths and 21,115,232 recoveries.
