MOSCOW. Dec 15 (Interfax) - Power supply restrictions lessened in Ukraine on Wednesday, Sergei Kovalenko, general director of the YASNO power supplying company, said.

"Here is the brief statistics: restrictions lessened a bit on Wednesday. There is power supply to practically every gray zone," the Ukrainian media quoted Kovalenko as saying on a social network.

Meanwhile, deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Kirill Timoshenko said that the situation in the Ukrainian electric power system improved this week and most regions managed to reinstate scheduled power outages.

"As for the general situation in the electric power system, it has slightly improved this week and the majority of regions have managed to resume scheduled power outages. Only a few regions had emergency power outages today. We are planning to achieve scheduled power outages in all regions in the coming days," the Ukrainian media quoted Timoshenko as saying in a telethon.
