Agreements on 1.5-bln-euro aid reached during Ukrainian govt team's visit to France - PM Shmygal
MOSCOW. Dec 15 (Interfax) - Agreements on 1.5 billion euros in assistance was agreed upon during a Ukrainian government team's visit to France, Ukraine's Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.
"The result of the government team's visit to France is approximately 1.5 billion euros in assistance. The Standing with the Ukrainian People conference raised 1 billion euros. Some of these funds are in the form of equipment that will be handed over shortly to help repair Ukraine's energy infrastructure. There is also a number of agreements for more than 530 million euros to be spent on the development of the digital sector and prompt restoration of infrastructure," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Shmygal as saying in a social media post.
"We are grateful to the president of France for organizing this conference and for the strong support extended to Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and democracy," the prime minister said.
