Russia registers 7,532 new cases of Covid-19, 55 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 7,532 new cases of Covid-19, or 1,555 cases more than on Tuesday, alongside 55 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Russia has recorded 7,532 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,607 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 2% from the day before," the headquarters said.

Daily morbidity has grown by 1,555 cases from 5,977 reported on Tuesday. This is the highest morbidity seen in Russia since October 28.

Another 55 patients have died from Covid-19 over the day, versus 59 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 7,675 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 12.2% from December 13," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 37 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 42, and has remained unchanged in six.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,685,037 cases of Covid-19, including 392,775 deaths and 21,081,129 recoveries.
