Ingosstrakh insured inventory, equipment at burnt-out OBI hypermarket in Khimki - underwriter

MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Ingosstrakh had insured the inventory, commercial and electronic equipment, office furniture, movable property, and advertising structures of the OBI DIY construction hypermarket that burnt down in Khimki [Moscow suburbs], the underwriter said in a statement.

Ingosstrakh had also insured the property against "loss from business interruption, risks of unforeseen expenses, and others" as per the terms and conditions of the contract.

Ingosstrakh's employees are in regular contact with the client and relevant services in order to determine all the details of the incident, according to the statement. Ingosstrakh will fulfill all obligations to the client completely in accordance with the insurance contract.

The OBI hypermarket at the Mega Khimki shopping center caught fire at around 6 a.m. Moscow time last Friday and burnt out completely. According to the Emergency Situations Ministry, one person died. At 8:25 a.m., the fire was localized on an area totaling 7,000 square meters.
