France to help Ukraine restore energy system - PM Shmygal

MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - France is preparing another batch of equipment that will help repair Ukraine's power infrastructure, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"French Minister for Energy Transition Agnes Pannier-Runacher and I discussed support for the energy sector," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Shmygal as saying in a social media post after the meeting.

Shmygal also thanked France for the nearly 73 tonnes of energy equipment already handed over to Ukrainian companies working to restore and stabilize the energy system.

"We are working with partners to ensure that Ukraine successfully survives winter and moves on to sustainable recovery and introduction of new modern technologies in the energy sphere," he said.
