Council of EU approves decision on 18-bln-euro aid package for Ukraine in 2023 - media

MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - The Council of the EU has endorsed a decision on an assistance package of 18 billion euros for Ukraine in 2023, Ukrainian media said, citing the Politico media outlet.

To this end, the EU partially unblocked the disbursement of 6.3 billion euros to Hungary and approved Hungary's plan to use money from the Covid fund - 5.8 billion euros.

In order to receive this money, Budapest will have to implement 27 changes in its anti-corruption crackdown and efforts to ensure the independence of the judicial system.
