Ukrainian govt approves draft agreement on rescheduling debt repayment to KfW

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved a draft agreement on rescheduling the repayment of 3-million-euro debts to the KfW German investment and development bank under four programs.

Government Representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk said on a social network that the government made the decision at a meeting on Friday, the Ukrainian media reported.

In particular, the government has approved an agreement with Frankfurt-based KfW on rescheduling 2,989,823-euro loans. This will allow suspending debt and interest repayment in four joint projects, namely, the project raising power transmission efficiency (modernization of power substations), the program of refinancing support for rural credit systems, Phase I of the municipal water management project in Chernovtsy, and the program of support for small and medium enterprises.
