EAEU summit scheduled to take place in Moscow in May 2023 - Russian presidential aide

MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - A summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) chaired by Russia in 2023 may be held in Moscow in May, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Thursday.

"We have already tentatively agreed on the date of the EAEU summit in Moscow in May 2023," he told reporters ahead of a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC), which will be held in Bishkek on December 9.

Ushakov noted that this would be the second time Russia will chair the EAEU since its foundation in 2015. Russia presided over the EAEU for the first time in 2018.
