Kyrgyzstan's PM proposes establishing Eurasian direct investment fund

BISHKEK. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Kyrgyzstan proposes establishing a direct investment fund in the Eurasian area, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov said on Thursday at the Bishkek investment summit.

"There is a need to establish a direct investment fund on the margins of the Eurasian area, as a unifying system of joint investment platforms and direct investment funds. The Kyrgyz side has initiated creating this fund," Japarov said.

Japarov also said that the Bishkek investment summit was a platform where new initiatives could be presented for implementing large infrastructure and other economic projects, and "cooperation in the field of digitalization and new technologies will advance."
