Former MTS VP for retail heads Concept Group clothing retailer

MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Farid Kamalov has taken over as head of the Concept Group clothing retailer, part of PJSC AFK Sistema , the company said in a statement.

Kamalov will continue the process of managing the company's transformation and the formation of its leadership positions in Russia's fashion market.

Kamalov has 19 years of retail experience. Prior to Concept Group, Kamalov was vice president for retail development at MTS, and he was COO on the executive board of Detsky Mir from 2014 to 2021.

Concept Group is a Russian retailer in the clothing segment, whose portfolio includes the brand names Acoola, Concept Club and Infinity Lingerie. AFK Sistema's effective share in Concept Club is 42.9%.

AFK Sistema had previously agreed to acquire a 47.7% stake in Melon Fashion Group, which is a Russian clothing manufacturer and retailer, as well as the owner of the brand names Zarina, befree, Love Republic and Sela. The deal totals 15.8 billion rubles, and is expected to close before the end of the year.
