Gazprom, RusGazDobycha start gas supplies from Semakovskoye field

*MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Gazprom and RusGazDobycha have started gas supplies from the Semakovskoye field to the gas transmission system, the companies said.

The first stage of the project consists of 19 wells and a gas treatment unit for 7.5 billion cubic meters per year as well as a 122-km pipeline from the field to the Unified Gas Transmission System. Design capacity of 14.2 bcm per year will be reached at the second stage.

Most of the field's reserves are located in the waters of the Tazov Bay in the Kara Sea and will be developed by a network of extended reach wells. Semakovskoye will be Russia's first offshore gas field to be developed in such a way.
