Russia receives right to export animal feed to Myanmar - watchdog

MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Russian producers of feed and feed additives for animals have received the right to export their products to Myanmar, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said in a statement.

The corresponding veterinary certificates were initialed as part of a regular meeting of the intergovernmental Russia-Myanmar commission on trade and economic cooperation. Representatives of the department of livestock breeding and veterinary medicine of the Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Ministry of Myanmar said that maintaining lists of supplier enterprises was not required, as signed veterinary certificates would suffice for deliveries.

Rosselkhoznadzor clarified that this pertains to exporting feed and feed additives for both food-producing and domesticated animals.

During the meeting, representatives of both countries' respective veterinary departments discussed the prospects for mutual supplies of livestock products.
