Zelensky and Montenegrin PM sign joint declaration on Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic prospects

MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Montenegro's Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic signed a joint declaration on Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic prospects during their online meeting on Monday, Ukrainian media said, citing the press service for Ukraine's embassy to Montenegro.

The declaration outlines the priorities of cooperation between Ukraine and Montenegro as part of Ukraine's strategic policy aimed at acquiring full-fledged membership in NATO, according to a report published on the Ukrainian presidential website.

The parties also discussed the progress made by Ukraine in fulfilling the Euro-Atlantic integration strategy. Zelensky, for his part, emphasized that Ukraine continues to consistently implement its Euro-Atlantic integration strategy and hopes to take advantage of the important experience of Montenegro, which has already become a NATO member.

Abazovic, in turn, noted that his country supports NATO's open door policy and, consequently, the prospect of Ukraine gaining full-fledged membership in the alliance.
