Vessel to deliver Ukrainian food exports to Italy

NEW YORK, UN. Dec 6 (Interfax) - A bulker carrying nearly 22,000 tonnes of corn departed a Ukrainian port on Monday, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.

"The Joint Coordination Centre reports that one vessel, BC Reada left the Ukrainian port of Odesa today [on December 5] carrying a total of 21,955 metric tonnes of corn with destination Ravenna, Italy, under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the center said.

Also, a vessel transited the maritime humanitarian corridor on December 5 under the Black Sea Grain Initiative heading to Chernomorsk.

Sixty-seven bulkers are waiting to move into the Ukrainian ports, and 28 loaded vessels are awaiting inspection in Turkish territorial waters so they can sail to their global destinations, the JCC said.

"As of 5 December, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 13,045,403 metric tonnes. A total of 1,050 voyages (525 inbound and 525 outbound) have been enabled so far," the center said.
