Germany's RWE files lawsuit against Gazprom owing to reduction in gas supplies - media

MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Germany's RWE has initiated arbitration proceedings against Gazprom in connection with shortfalls in gas supplies, Handelsblatt reports.

It was reported earlier that Uniper had initiated a similar proceeding. Handelsblatt also reminds that Gazprom Germania, confiscated from Gazprom and changed its name to Sefe, is looking into the possibility of filing claims on its part.

As reported, Russian gas supplies to Europe via the Nord Stream pipeline began to decline owing to Canada's sanctions against Gazprom that rendered it impossible to service the gas turbine engines of the pipeline, which were out of order. At the end of September, the linear part of the sea highway experienced a powerful rupture.
