Ukrainian Social Policy Ministry, WFP agree to continue cooperation to digitalize social services

MOSCOW. Dec 2 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Social Policy Ministry and the World Food Program (WFP) have concluded an agreement on financing the next phase of the modernization of the social sector's Unified Information System.

"Our cooperation with the World Food Program is very important. Taking into account the state budget's limited resources, the financial support that we are receiving under this agreement helps continue the efficient digitalization of social services and improve the availability of social services, including through automating and centralizing social support processes, developing information interaction, and setting up new electronic services for citizens," Ukrainian media quoted the ministry's press service as saying.

The agreement should ensure the upgrading of the social sector's Unified Information System and enabling the implementation of a number of initiatives for Ukrainian citizens, it said.

In particular, this includes the eDopomoga (eHelp) electronic financial assistance program, subsidies, the registration of and assistance for internally displaced persons, a centralized database on persons with disabilities, more efficient interaction with citizens, and a social web portal for online work of outside users.
