Covid-19, flu morbidity rising in Russia, yet situation manageable - Health Ministry

SAMARKAND. Dec 2 (Interfax) - The Russian Health Ministry has been observing a growth in Covid-19 cases and acute viral respiratory infections, yet the situation is manageable, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said.

"Yes, the morbidity has been growing, including Covid-19 and flu morbidity, alongside some other viruses. In fact, we are observing a rise in infections in a number of Russian constituent territories," Murashko told reporters in Samarkand on Friday.

He noted the importance of timely vaccination for Covid-19 and flu, minimization of contacts, and sick leaves for patients.

As to whether the situation is manageable, he said, "It's manageable. The process always depends on human behavior."
