Russia to attract over 120,000 migrant workers in 2023 - resolution
MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Russia plans to attract nearly 124,000 foreign workers next year, under a Russian government resolution published on the official legal information website on Thursday.
"To set the 2023 need for foreign workers who enter Russia on a visa basis at 123,943 people," the document said.
Most of them will be in the following occupations: 32,808 is the quota for workers in mining, capital mining, construction and assembly operations; 23,664 people to work at large and small industrial enterprises; and another 14,343 foreigners would be hired as workers in the metal processing and machine-building industry.
The need for unskilled workforce exceeds 7,200 people.
The quota for issuing Russian entry and work permits in 2023 is the same, 123,943 people.
